Courses and Pricing
The course cost for Introduction to the Standards for Texas Assisted Living Managers is $150 and may be paid for online through credit card or by sending a check and receiving access once the check is received.
The course is composed of eight hours of online training. The course material
may be downloaded and printed or read online. The course may be stopped and
re-started using your assigned Transaction ID until the course has been completed.
There are two tests that must be completed and submitted online for grading.
The first test covers the first 3 sessions. The second test covers the second
An overall score of 70% must be made. Upon successful completion of the tests, a Certificate of Completion will be mailed to you via postal mail.
This eight-hour assisted living education course is available in a classroom setting at various times during the year throughout the state of Texas. There are two additional courses offered during the year throughout the state that will allow you to complete the full 24 hours required of all managers. We invite you to visit the TORCH

Policy and Procedure Manual
TORCH offers a comprehensive Policy and Procedure Manual to assist facility managers in the development of the required policies and procedures. The manual is over 100 pages and also has a computer disc that allows managers to load policies and forms onto their computer and make changes as desired. The manual with disc included is sold for $300 for TORCH members. Non-TORCH members may purchase the manual only for $500. There is no additional fee for shipping and handling.
